The poet laureate of the desert’s scarred underbelly, songwriter Shawn Mafia, backed by his band The Ten Cent Thrills, will take you on a ride you won’t forget, down dark desert roads to seedy bars where cheap women & even cheaper wine await.
Mafia was recently chosen by the Palm Springs Art Museum as one of their featured poets for their 2006-2007  Live Out Loud! series which brings prominent poets from around the country to present their work at the museum.  His second CD, “Death in D Major” is due out this month.

“Mysterioso, rootsy, and darkly atmospheric—It’s like what you’d want to hear coming out of the jukebox of a dimly lit saloon on some lost highway.”  That’s how emith has been described, and with Carol H on guitar & vocals & Stevie Gurr on guitar, bass & harmonica (he’s played with Dr. John, Elvin Bishop & others), you can’t go wrong.  Rock, folk & country meet Celtic & the blues. Compelling.
