Poetry by Reynada Ross

Genesis 1:26

Complete Authority.

Complete Control.

Masters of the Universe.

Rulers over all Creation.

Made in God's Image.

In Every Way.

Exuberating Excellence.

Man and woman since day six

He rested day seven.

I'm dreaming of heaven.

Can I get my two wings

And fly to the sky.

Can I kiss your feet

As my body dies.

Can I touch your face

As you wipe the tears from my eyes.

What happened to the years, the fears, the worries,

The struggles, the pain, the buried past.

All the angels laughing

Cause I'm happy, I'm free.

It's not exactly the way

That I'd thought it'd be,

Its better.

No stormy weather.

Sun beaming down my back.

Wings flap beneath the winds blow.

God knows me.

God chose me.

Praises, Almighty King.

He unlocked the gate with the golden key.

He said, welcome home.

Your journey's been long.

You held it down.

Your my angel.

The jewels flash the golden crown.

This is heaven.

But there's still work to do.

Saving souls, people's lives, and the children too.

Go and rest.

We'll holla later in a minute or two.

Heres your robe, my sweet angel.

I love you.
