Earth Day Cleanup

Description:

Earth Day Cleanup, volunteers needed

Volunteers are invited to walk through beautiful Saddleback Butte State Park, and pick up light trash in honor of Earth Day. Antelope Valley Conservancy AVTREC is hosting its 19th annual Earth Day Clean-Up at Saddleback Butte State Park, on Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m. to Noon.

Volunteers should bring work gloves that fit, sturdy shoes, and a refillable water bottle. Special care should be given to ensure that any children who volunteer are properly outfitted with gloves that fit their hands.

Youth groups and scouts are welcome, and the Parental Permission Form is posted on the conservancy web site at http://avconservancy.org/Events.htm.

Volunteers are requested to RSVP to avconservancy@yahoo.com or (661) 943‑9000. Volunteers meet at 9:00 a.m., at the Saddleback Butte Day Use Area, and work until noon. Enter the park from Avenue J, at 171st Street East. A flier with map is also posted at http://avconservancy.org/Events.htm.
