Photo: THE HANDSOME and record in a small adobe house in Albuquerque surrounded by rattlesnakes and broken glass. A reader's poll in Mojo named our third CD, Through the Trees one of the 10 essential Americana records of all time. UK's Guardian newspaper named our song "Weightless Again" one of the 100 best songs ever written about heartbreak. Our work has been covered by many artists, including: Jeff Tweedy, Andrew Bird and an unknown singer on American Idol. Over the 15 years we've been writing music and performing we've toured circles round the USA, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. We've appeared in the movies, Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man and Searching for the Wrong-Eyed Jesus as well as on Late Night with Jools Holland. Richard Starkey (yes, Ringo!) once wrote us a check for #25. For our upcoming show the line-up will be Brett Sparks (vocals, guitar), Rennie Sparks (vocals, banjo, ukelele bass), Jason Toth (drums).
