Independence Day at the Palm Springs Tramway


PALM SPRINGS, CA – June 21, 2013 – In observance of Independence Day the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway will open early on July 4th and 5th. The first Tram car up will be at 8am.

During July all active and retired military personnel, with a valid military ID, receive a free Tram ride and up to 6 of their guests will receive 50% off the normal adult and child Tram admission.

Free Guided Nature Walks are offered Saturdays and Sundays. Nature Walks feature a choice of two easy trails – the Desert View Trail, a 1½-mile loop beginning at 11am or the Long Valley Nature Trail, a ¾-mile loop beginning at 1:30pm.

Those interested should meet at the bottom of the cement walkway located just outside the Mountain Station.

On Saturday, July 6th the Natural History Association will be offering Family Days with activities for kids from 10am to 2pm in front of the Long Valley Ranger Station. There is no charge for these activities.

Tram admission is $23.95 adults and $16.95 children ages 3-12. Ride ‘n’ Dine tickets are available from 4pm and include Tram admission and dinner at Pines Café, a cafeteria-style restaurant.
