Yucca Valley fireworks
now at a new location

The Rotary Club of Yucca Valley announced today that due to an unforeseen issue with the Yucca Valley High School football field, they have had to move the annual 4th of July Fireworks show and Community Fair to a new location.

The 30 year old event has been held for 29 years at the high school football field but the field has become uneven and dangerous for the football teams so the school district decided last week they need the summer to tear out the field, install new irrigation and re-sod the field, leaving it in a condition not suitable to the 4th of July event.

The Brehm Youth Park folks at the Basinwide Foundation along with the Tri-Valley Little League, and other partners have stepped up to help Rotary continue this long time tradition and the event will now be held at the new youth park, at the corner of Palm Ave, and Little League Drive, across the street from the Boys & Girls Club facility. Spectators will be able to sit on the new grass fields with their blankets and chairs and still be able to enjoy the entertainment, vendor booths, as well as great food and refreshments within the compound. There will be glow items, face painting, and fun things for the whole family!

New Rotary President Ignazio Ficara and the entire Rotary club thanks all the partners who have jumped into help us resolve this problem with so little time and hopes that the community will come to the new location and have a great time and support this community event to celebrate our country’s birthday! The gates will open at 5 PM, with live entertainment starting at 6 PM on stage. The fireworks show will begin shortly after 9 P M. There will be a Military Equipment Display and a great vendor fair along with food vendors.
