Gene Autry in "The Last of the Pony Riders"!
presented by the Desert Classic Film Society


The DESERT CLASSIC FILM SOCIETY will be presenting LAST OF THE PONY RIDERS on Friday, August 2 at 8 p.m. at the Bijou Cinema in Yucca Valley.

Gene Autry stars in his last movie and this one was shot in Pioneertown showing main street and the Red Dog Saloon. This was also Smiley Burnett's last movie and is a fitting last tribute to this great team.

Also on the bill, the 3 Stooges short WHOOPS I'M AN INDIAN and the Flip the Frog cartoon PALEFACE.

Film historian Christopher Perry will introduce the film. A vintage film print will be screened.

The Bijou opens at 7:30 pm.

WANT FREE ADMISSION??? Bring a cinema related book to the Bijou and donate it to the Bijou reference library and you will get in free. Note: It has to be a book that the reference library currently does not have.

WANT ADMISSION FOR 25 CENTS??? Since movie tickets in the 1930's and 40's could be bought for 25 cents we will give you admission for 25 cents in change if the coins are silver(that means dated before 1965).

The Bijou Cinema is located at 57482 Onaga Trail in Yucca Valley. Admission is $5 per person.
