Borrego Days Desert Festival


(August 22, 2013) - Dori Holladay's 48th Annual Borrego Days Desert Festival will be anything but dry with a spectacular weekend filled with family entertainment. This year's event has been renamed in the honor of Dori Holladay (1937-2013), fondly called the Grand Dame of Borrego Springs. This free festival is the perfect way to make long lasting memories with your family and friends while enjoying the picturesque California's Secret Desertâ„¢. Dori Holladay's 48th Annual Borrego Days Desert Festival will take place on Friday, October 25th from 5:00 PM to 9:00PM and continues onto Saturday, October 26th from 10:00AM to 9:00PM, and Sunday, October 27th from 9:00AM to 5:00PM. On Saturday morning, grab your coffee and children, then head on down to enjoy the lively parade in the heart of the town at 10:00AM. The fun-filled parade will showcase marching bands, floats, classic cars, decorated golf carts, clown acts, equestrian groups, and much more! Once the parade is over don't go anywhere, there is still so much more in store! Check out the artists, retail and food vendor booths while listening to the sounds of live entertainment floating through the desert air. Your little ones are guaranteed to have a great time at the carnival.
