August Chil-Out Nights
music, art, and food

The August Chill-Out Nights series of dinner/music/art events will conclude this Friday, August 31, with what should be the biggest party of the series. The venue will be Harrison House, a beautiful straw bale structure with terrific acoustics. Musicians schedule to play include local legend Clive Wright, who’ll be working with Ben Kennedy, Nick Johnson, Joshua Burgett, and special guests. The art of James Hammons will be on display, and dinner will be prepared by chef Rosa Ficara. “The music has gotten progressively better for each event,” says Wright. “And that trend will continue.” There’ll be room to dance, so come prepared.

Harrison House is at 6881 Mt. Lassen, just east of White Feather Road. The party starts with wine and tidbits at 6:30 pm. Dinner will be served from 7 to 8pm, and the music will go on until 11. All inclusive dinner tickets are available for $30 at the Joshua Tree Health Foods, and at the Joshua Tree Chamber of Commerce. Music only tickets are $10, and will be available at the door. The event is sponsored by the Joshua Tree Chamber of Commerce – call them at 760-366-3723 for more information.
