The Living Desert will be "Saving Wildlife One Beer at a Time" at the 3rd Annual Brew at the Zoo, one of Southern California's most popular beer festivals, on Saturday, May 5th, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Presented by Integrated Wealth Management, this year's event will include three live music stages, over 1,500 guests, 40 vendors, beer and wine pairings with delectable appetizers (including vegetarian options) and desserts.
Special themed areas will include Paradise Cove with island-themed fare, Discovery Ale House with special presentations by leaders in the beer and restaurant industry, Eco-Luxury Safari Lounge and HPE Sustainability and Leadership Award, home brew demonstrations, Hangover Prevention Center, animal encounters, Big Brew Raffle, delicious non-alcoholic beverages, and more! The exclusive VIP Lounge will include private seating at the Chase Gallery & Reception Garden, premium wine and beer, deluxe appetizers, live jazz combo, unlimited access to general Brew at the Zoo food and beverage selections, private animal encounters, VIP take-home gift, and more.
Live music groups confirmed are: Barry Baughn Blues Band offering Louisiana-inspired blues, Kimo and band specializing in Hawaiian funk blues, and the Motown-inspired blues sounds of Harold Wherry and Blue Breeze Band.
Confirmed vendors include: Stone Brewing Company, Tommy Bahama, Thai Smile, Schmidy's Tavern, Renaissance Esmeralda, Rancho Las Palmas, and many more.
Proceeds from Brew at the Zoo help The Living Desert care for over 500 animals, 1,600 protected acres, and provide scholarship programs for thousands of visiting school children.
Stacey Johnson, President and CEO of The Living Desert commented, "This is one of the most relaxed and fun events we have. All-inclusive ticket prices are: $40 member, $55 non-member. VIP Lounge: $175. The event is open to adults 21 and over. Children, infants and strollers are not permitted. Guests must bring a photo I.D. and will receive a wristband accordingly. Dress is casual, and comfortable shoes are recommended.
