J October 8th Morongo Basin Historical Society 2nd Wednesday Presents lecture held at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum Yucca Valley at 5:30 p.m. Donation is $5.

John Hale, Ph.D. from the Marine Air and Ground Combat Center in 29 Palms will discuss the discoveries and contributions of archaeologist Mark Harrington during the early decades of the 20th Century in the Southwest and California.

Harrington discovered the Gypsum Culture as well as excavating at Nevada’s Lost City uncovering intact duck decoys at Lovelock Cave in Humboldt County, Nevada.
