Description:

February 21, 2015 Saturday visit to the Joshua Tree Southern

Railroad Museum 9:30-11:30/12:00 with the Morongo Basin Historical Society

Nestled in the boulders just south of Joshua Tree National Park is the little known Joshua Tree & Southern Railroad Museum where railroad history abounds. Home to JT&S RR and the 15”guage and 7 ½”guage and G scale trackage will be a part of the tour but the trains won't be running.

We will meet docent Terry at the station museum where he will speak about the history of the museum and conduct a Q & A before we walk up to the track to view 5 cars which are in various states of restoration.

Eat brown bag lunches on the site or feel free to visit the great restaurants in the village of Joshua Tree. Limited to 20 people.

Members-$10 Non-Members $15. MBHS will make a donation to this local non-profit.
