On display at the Library from March 18 - May 13, 2015, during regular library hours. Featuring the work of local photographers Gary Dorothy, Chari Godokanda, and Dennis Johnson.

This exhibition looks at our relationship with our natural environment and two of the most common and precious resources on earth – land and water. Earth Matters aims to examine the conceptually complex and visually rich relationship between humans and the land upon which we live, work, play, and spend our days. When it comes to water we are familiar with water’s diverse natural expressions from fog, rain, streams and rivers, to oceans, lagoons, groundwater and springs. However, as California moves further into a drought cycle these images show the many challenges involving water, and they explore the deeper ways in which water becomes personal.
