West Nile Virus Awareness and Prevention at the Palm Springs Public Library.

Presented by a representative from the Mosquito and Vector Control District in Coachella Valley, this lecture will begin at 6:30 p.m. in The Learning Center (TLC).

West Nile virus (WNV) is most commonly transmitted to humans by mosquitoes. You can reduce your risk of being infected with WNV by using insect repellent and wearing protective clothing to prevent mosquito bites. You can also help reduce areas where mosquitoes lay their eggs. At this lecture you will learn more about how you can "Fight the Bite" and protect yourself from mosquito-borne disease!
