Land Restoration Event
for the Mojave Desert Land Trust

Description:

On Saturday October 27, Mojave Desert Land Trust invites you to join fellow Land Stewards for a fun day of desert restoration in the Joshua Tree North Wildlife Linkage Area in Joshua Tree, CA. This is our new project area and we want to welcome you to this beautiful wildlife corridor! We have an opportunity to become more familiar with this area, restore OHV trails near La Contenta Road, and learn valuable restoration techniques that can be applied to your own backyard! Please invite any family and friends who would like to be involved in this effort.

Date: Saturday, October 27

Time: 9:00am - 2:00pm

Location: Meet at the corner of La Contenta Road and Covington Flat Road

Bring:

Hiking shoes

Hat

Sunglasses

Sunblock

Water (hydration pack or water bottles in a day pack)

Lunch

Long pants and a long sleeve shirt (we recommend that you wear these to protect your skin from the sun and scratchy brush)

Extra tools if you have them (we could use shovels, buckets, loppers, picks, and iron or sand rakes – please mark your tools clearly)

Please RSVP with MDLT Land Stewardship Coordinator, Mizuki Hanford, at 760-366-0542 or mizuki@sheltondouthit.com. Also, please let us know if you are planning to bring tools with you. A map and driving directions will be sent to you in a confirmation email.

Hope to see you in the beautiful desert!
