Land Restoration Event in Palen McCoy Wilderness

On Saturday November 17th Mojave Desert Land Trust invites you to join fellow Land Stewards for a fun day of cleanup work in the Palen McCoy Wilderness Area. Please help us clean up this beautiful microphyll woodland habitat of ironwood and palo verde trees.
The work site is located along HWY 177, within the Palen McCoy Wilderness Area, approximately a two hour-drive from downtown Joshua Tree. We are planning to depart the work site by 2:00pm at the latest.
Date: November 17th (Saturday)
Time: 10:00am - 2:00pm
Location: For Land Stewards carpooling or caravanning to the work site, please meet us at the Joshua Tree National Park Visitor Center parking lot in downtown Joshua Tree at 8:00am. For Land Stewards commuting by themselves please meet us at the work site by 10:00am.
Be sure to bring water, lunch, snacks, gloves, sunglasses (eye protection), long sleeve shirt, long pants, sunscreen, wide brim hat, and hiking boots.
