Venus Transit
the Sky's the Limit! Next performance in 100 years!

SKY’S THE LIMIT will offer the community two more Discovery Days this spring: The Partial Solar Eclipse on May 20th and Venus Transit on June 5th.

Families and life-long learners are welcome to join us at Luckie Park for these free events. They will be in front of the stage area by the Skateboard Park. These unusual events are low on the horizon, so the best views will be from an open field in Luckie Park.

Activities designed for the young and “young at heart” will include: viewing of the eclipse and Venus dancing in front of the SUN with the Solar Scope and safety glasses, plus Indian Legends and a variety of astronomical and art experiences.

Everyone is strongly encouraged to bring water bottles, snacks, chairs, sunscreen, and to dress for unpredictable desert weather. Both Discovery Days will be limited to 50 participants, and children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Register at the Twentynine Palms Park and Recreation Office at 74362 Joe Davis Road, next to the Skateboard Park or call 760-367-7562 to register. For more information call Ken at 760-333-2058 or Doris 760-408-6099. Visit STL Web Site at or contact us by email at Check out the STL ME Machine on YouTube.
