Cabots Pueblo Museum on February 20, 2016 Field Trip
Join us for a field trip to tour the historic Cabots Pueblo Museum in Desert Hot Springs. In 1913 Cabot Yerxa homesteaded 160 acres discovering both hot and cold mineral waters that gave the area its name.
A remarkable man, Yerxa was an artist, writer, builder, architect, explorer, collector and entrepreneur. He built the 35 room pueblo-style house making his own sun dried adobe bricks and using reclaimed materials found on the property to finish the 4-storied 5,000 square foot building.
The tour times are 10:00, 11:00 and 12:00. Each tour is limited to 12-14 people. Member donation is $12 and non-member is $16.
