April 13, 2016 “E Clampus Vitus” Hector Alvarez- APRN and Clamper Chef talks about the fun and serious sides of a fraternal organization dedicated to the preservation of the heritage of mining in the American West.

Alvarez will discuss the earliest history of the Clampers during the California Gold Rush as well as his own local affiliation, Billy Holcomb Group #1069, in which he holds the title, Clamper Chef.

The group has placqued over 60 sites in San Bernardino County including Pioneertown, Integratron, Warren’s Well and Old Woman Springs Ranch.

Join the Morongo Basin Historical Society’s 2nd Wednesday Lecture Series which is held at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum Yucca Valley 57116 29 Palms Hwy. Lecture begins at 5:30. Donation is $5.00.
