The Joshua Tree International Improv/Comedy Festival proudly announces that the legendary, nationally acclaimed comedian Tom Dreesen will be presenting his popular seminar “The Joy of Standup Comedy and How to Get There.” The event will begin at 2:15pm on Sunday July 10th, 2016 at The Hi-Desert Cultural Center located at 61231 Highway 62, in Joshua Tree (just ½ mile from the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park). The hour long seminar is designed for those in the entertainment field as stand ups, writers, producers, actors, or anyone who just simply wants to enjoy their journey in life. Admission is included with the purchase of the Sunday stand up comedy entertainment pass. Advance purchase is recommended due to limited seating availability. Tom Dreesen Bio:
Comedian Tom Dreesen appeared on stage for the first time 47 years ago in Chicago Heights, IL. He has since made over 500 successful appearances on national television as a stand-up comedian including 61 appearances on The Tonight Show! He was a favorite guest of David Letterman’s and even hosted the show during David's absence. Tom is a consummate professional.
Dreesen was a regular in all the main showrooms in Las Vegas, Atlantic Cityand Reno for years, and for 14 years Tom toured the continent as the opening act for Frank Sinatra. He is currently touring the country with his highly acclaimed original one man show “An Evening of Laughter and Memories of Sinatra”.
Tom is in constant demand from corporate America to serve as Master of Ceremonies, comedian or motivational speaker at their annual events. He brings his expertise to "The Joy of Standup Comedy and How to Get There”.
