Coming to you from Joshua Tree, California
Welcome to the online den of The Sun Runner Magazine, The Magazine of California Desert Life & Culture. We’re
based in Joshua Tree, California, in the Mojave Desert near Joshua Tree National Park, the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, and the neighboring hi-desert communities of Twentynine Palms, Yucca
Valley, Morongo Valley, Landers, Wonder Valley, Johnson Valley and Pioneertown, collectively known as the Morongo Basin and/or the hi-desert (not the “high” desert, like Lancaster and Palmdale).
Now in our 14th year of publishing, we have grown to cover, and are distributed throughout, the California deserts, reaching more than 30,000 print readers each issue, from El Centro to Ridgecrest - and beyond. We are the only California deserts-wide media, and we are homegrown, and independent.
We are passionately of, by, & for the desert, and we’ve been that way since we began publishing in January, 1995. And it doesn’t look like we’re getting any less that way in the 21st
Century. Thanks for stopping by.....
